My name is Rodolfo Perissé and I am a Brazilian-Portuguese artist currently living in Germany. I was born in Rio de Janeiro and have also lived in Spain.
My professional life is divided into two: on the one hand animation and on the other traditional painting and drawing. One influences the other and together we move forward. For years, I worked as an art director for 2D animation and I also have experience in the advertising and gaming industries. But when I’m not doing that, I’m in the company of my paints.
I studied Design at the School of Fine Arts, at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. In college I had the pleasure of – in addition to classes in history and philosophy of art and design – experimenting with different painting techniques, lithography (on real stone) and lots of life model classes.
Today, I enjoy exploring watercolor, gouache, oil paint, graphite, charcoal and colored pencil. I like to see the world and represent it with a bit of angst without losing sight of a bit of humor.
